Ihsan Children Foundation successfully implemented the Loaf Distribution Project to combat food insecurity among vulnerable families in the region. This initiative provided immediate food relief to 500 families in the Jabalia refugee camp, offering freshly baked bread throughout the month.
As part of the project, a local bakery was expanded with five new manual bread ovens, operated by mothers of orphans, creating an opportunity for these women to support their families while contributing to their community. The project not only addressed urgent nutritional needs but also eased the burden on orphan families, instilled hope, and strengthened social solidarity during a time of great hardship.
By the end of the project, we had made a tangible difference in the lives of hundreds of families, protecting orphans and offering a sense of security and care to those most in need. This initiative stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and community-driven solutions in the face of adversity.
Recreational activities are also taught alongside this by professional volunteers in different fields including programming, robotics, mental arithmetic, gardening, horse riding, swimming and much more. This allows the children to explore and find what they enjoy and are good at, in hope that it may be the initial step for them to realize their potential.
Other health and well being services, often not readily available to children raised in refugee camps, are provided by qualified professionals such as doctors, dentists, psychologists and more. Follow up is undertaken with the particularly affected children and their families by the professionals wherever needed.
